The coast is also only about a 20 minute drive and Troon and Prestwick are both lovely. We love eating dinner in the harbour in Troon at Scotts with views of the boats (booking essential) or fish and chips from the Wee Hurrie (take out only). Edinburgh is also only an hour away and also Loch Lomond . strictly non smoking .
